Smooth Jazz Icon and Professor of Performance at Berklee College, Walter Beasley has a prolific career as a contemporary jazz recording artist and performer along with a thriving presence in the field of music education. Branford Marsalis writes, "Walter Beasley is an anomaly; a succesful performing musician who possesses the rare skill of understanding the musical process beyond the intuitive". A leading alto and soprano saxophonist and prominent vocalist, Beasley has performed widely throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean for over 25 years.

Considered by fans and critics alike as the heir to Grover Washington, Jr., Beasley was featured in an all-star tribute dedicated to Grover, "With Love", He has performed alongside Chuck Loeb, Ronnie Laws, Gerald Veasley, Gerald Albright, and headlined at the 2011 Playboy Jazz Festival.

He is the highest selling full-time Professor/Recording Artist in history. Recordings include "Sax Meditations" and "Live in the Groove" and "Free Your Mind", which earned Beasley a 2009 Jazz Award. His latest "Backatcha" on Shanachie Entertainment/Affable, features his hot single, Lovely Day. Beasley creates instructional DVDs for saxophonists to help them enhance their instrumental skill and live and studio performance abilities.
